The Dayton Art Institute's permanent collection includes more than 26,000 items, with more than 1,000 works on view at the museum. The collection includes extensive Asian, pre-Columbian, European, American and Contemporary works.
The museum’s Experiencenter, is an interactive gallery for families and young people which offers visitors the opportunity to experience great art in smaller, thematically based exhibitions that stimulate curiosity and creativity. The museum also hosts a diverse range of special exhibitions, such as our current exhibitions, Object of Devotion: Medieval English Alabaster Sculpture from the Victoria and Albert Museum and Elizabeth Turk: Wings, on view through January 5, 2014.
