Museum Guides
The Dayton Art Institute offers impactful, engaging and creative gallery experiences for visitors of all ages. Our tours are an opportunity for the community to learn and make connections through art at the DAI. Museum guides are essential to facilitating these programs through their leadership. Museum guides are volunteers who lead Art + Core Connections (A+CC) tours for students in grades K-12 and community tours for adults.
Why become a guide?
- Guides receive training to learn teaching techniques and skills to provide a fun, visitor-centered tour.
- Being a guide is a rewarding chance to volunteer your time for the community, learn, teach and strengthen your skills as a leader.
- Museum guides each have their own unique life experiences and are empowered to incorporate their individuality to enhance the tour.
- Build your resume and your personal and professional network.
- Closely experience the Dayton Art Institute and enhance your knowledge of art, culture and history.
