Changing Times: Art of the 1960s
Welcome to the Jefferson Patterson Society Virtual Reception for Changing Times: Art of the 1960s! Thank you for your continued support of the Dayton Art Institute.
We wish we could celebrate the opening of this amazing special exhibition in person. Organized by our own Dayton Art Institute curatorial team, this DAI exclusive exhibition presents a look at one of the most transformative and often turbulent decades the world has ever experienced, the 1960s.
We’ve put together a special video presentation to celebrate the exhibition opening, with remarks from DAI Director & CEO Michael Roediger and an exhibition preview with Chief Curator & Director of Education, Dr. Jerry Smith. The video will premiere in the video player below at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 20 – click the play button to activate the player. You can either watch it here on this page or click the button below to watch on YouTube, where you can take part in a live chat while the video premieres.
We hope you are able to visit the exhibition, either during the special Jefferson Patterson Society preview day on May 20, 3-7 p.m., or during its run at the DAI, which lasts through September 12, 2021. We expect that you will want to see this fascinating exhibition more than once!
