Yeck Artist in Residence program

Funded by the William and Dorothy Yeck Family Foundation, the Yeck Artist in Residence program provides a paid opportunity for greater Dayton area artists to create original, participatory art projects related to exhibitions featured in DAI’s nationally renowned Lange Family Experiencenter and engage museum guests of all ages. As a participatory and engaging hands-on creative arts experience, this program aims to further families’ and children’s connection to museum spaces, as well as provide artists with an approximately 4-month long residency.

Yeck Artist-in-Residence Program Fall 2024

Looking for artists whose artistic merit and artist’s vision align to the exhibition of portraiture, frames, and art connected to everyday living—an exploration of one’s self, family, and community life. This is in conjunction with the future Experiencenter exhibition of: “This is Us: Framing the Art of Life”. Stipend of $12,000 and supply budget of $4,000 will be awarded to the finalist. • Work in 2D, 3D, and / or multimedia
• Have experience with public exhibition
• Have experience teaching and working with the general public (experience with young learners preferred)
• Have a committed arts practice that celebrates the diversity of our greater Dayton
