Community Workshops

Our artist-led workshops are designed to make community connections between our guests, local artists, and The Dayton Art Institute through conversation and artmaking. Join DAI Yeck College Fellow Sarah Powell on a guided walk through our latest special exhibition, Jamie Wyeth: Unsettled, followed by an artmaking experience in our studio spaces.

Unsettled Places and Spaces

Cost: $40 for museum members; $55 for non-members
Ages: 18+

Guests will utilize photo-transferred images to create an unsettling scene of their own. An array of additional materials will be provided to add color, experiment with mark making and create mood in this mixed media workshop. No previous artmaking experience is necessary.

Doorways of Dayton:
Date: Saturday, May 24  – 2-4 p.m
Cost: $40 for museum members; $55 for non-members

Jamie Wyeth’s use of doors inspires guests to examine the doorways of their own lives here in Dayton whether it be past, present, future, or those we could only dream of.
