Tuesday - Friday: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 5:00 p.m.
Special Museum Gallery & Exhibition Hours During Oktoberfest:
Thursday, September 25: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday, September 26: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday, September 27: noon - 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 28: noon - 6 p.m.
Leo Bistro will be closed September 26 - October 6 for its annual Oktoberfest Vacation.
SPECIAL HOLIDAY HOURS
The museum is closed the following major holidays: Easter Sunday, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
The Dayton Art Institute asks all visitors to pay a suggested admission fee. Anyone unable to contribute the suggested admission will be welcomed to the museum’s permanent collection galleries free of charge.
Suggested general admission to The Dayton Art Institute:
Seniors (60+), Active Military & Groups: $5
College Students (18+ with ID): Free
Youth & Children (17 and under): Free
Special Exhibitions, Programs & Events*
Some special exhibitions, programs and events carry an admission charge or registration fee beyond the museum's suggested general admission, and include admission to the museum's permanent collection as part of the admission charge or registration fee.
Special Note: Oktoberfest Weekend
The final weekend of Dayton Celebrates Glass coincides with the museum's annual Oktoberfest. During Oktoberfest weekend, September 27 & 28, anyone visiting the special exhibition must pay Oktoberfest admission and the special exhibition admission. Admission to Dayton Celebrates Glass on September 27 & 28 will be a reduced rate of $9 adults, $6 youth (ages 7-17), and free for museum members and children (6 & under). [ Read More ]
* A $2 per transaction fee will be added to all ticket sales for building preservation and art conservations. The fees are used for maintenance and upkeep of the permanent collection, building and grounds, ensuring the museum's status as a beautiful, historic site featuring world-class art.
