Take a Tour

DAI is now taking reservations for group visits! Book yours today!

Get the most during your time at the Dayton Art Institute with a Guided Visit led by a trained Museum Guide! DAI offers a variety of museum experiences for individuals, groups, schools, colleges/universities and other community groups for guests to make meaningful connections with works of art. Visits take place in our collection galleries, Focus and Special exhibitions and typically are 60 minutes long.

Looking to roam? We also offer flexible Self-Guided Visit options for groups.

Did you know that DAI’s education department was established in 1933? Art education has been an integral part of the DAI since the museum’s early days and tours for adults and youth have been provided since the 1930s.

The DAI’s Museum Guide program was established in the 1960s, and tour offerings continued to expand. Traditional guided tours have also been supplemented by audio tours and interactive web-based tours found on the Bloomberg Connects App.

The museum has many tours available and an amazing corps of Museum Guides who deliver them. Tours cover many different topics and are engaging for groups of all ages.

The Dayton Art Institute’s tour program changes lives for thousands of students each year by sharing compelling stories that bring art to life, as well as hands-on workshops that reinforce lessons in culture and history, along with greater understanding of the materials used and artists’ techniques for creating the work they have seen.

Join in the fun of learning; book your tour now and learn more about the treasures in your museum.
