Arrange a Museum Visit
DAI will accept requests for Guided Visits starting May 15. Requests for school group field trips will not begin booking until August 2022 and will not be accepted at this time. We continue to accept requests for Self-Guided Visits. Explore the page below for more information.

Request a community group visit
- Three (3) weeks advanced notice is required for ALL group visits.
- Completing the scheduling form is only a request until you have received confirmation from the Dayton Art Institute.
- Guided Visits are led by trained Museum Guide volunteers who show up just for you and look forward to leading your museum experience.
- Guided Visits are scheduled for the time your group requested and begin when the full group is present and ready. A timely arrival is essential for maximizing your experience.
- Groups with more than 10 guests will be split into sub-groups.
- Adult group visits are free with museum admission. Discount rate of $10 per guest applies for groups of 10 or more.
Request a school group visit
- School groups are limited to a maximum of sixty (60) students per visit. Students and chaperones are split into sub-groups based on total group size, grade level, and tour type. Sub-groups sizes may vary.
- Grades PreK-2: must have one (1) adult chaperone per every six (6) students.
- Grades 3-12: must have one (1) adult chaperone per every 10 students.
- A limited number of transportation scholarships are available. Please indicate your need in your request form.

- There is no cost for students, teachers, or chaperones during a school group visit.
Request a college/university group visit
- Three (3) weeks advanced notice is required for ALL group visits.
- Six (6) weeks advanced notice is required for requesting a custom content aligned to your syllabi.
- Completing the scheduling form is only a request until you have received confirmation from the Dayton Art Institute.
- Guided Visits are led by trained Museum Guide volunteers who show up just for you and look forward to leading your museum experience.
- Guided Visits are scheduled for the time your group requested and begin when the full group is present and ready. A timely arrival is essential for maximizing your experience.

- College/university group visits are free with museum admission. Admission for students and professors is $5/guest.
Request a community/youth group visit
- DAI welcomes homeschool, girl scouts, boy scouts, civic leadership, and other community groups.
- Three (3) weeks advanced notice is required for ALL group visits.
- Completing the scheduling form is only a request until you have received confirmation from the Dayton Art Institute.
- Community/youth groups are limited to a maximum of sixty (60) students per visit. Youth and chaperones are split into sub-groups based on total group size, grade level, and tour type. Sub-groups sizes may vary.
- Grades PreK-2: must have one (1) adult chaperone per every six (6) students.
- Grades 3-12: must have one (1) adult chaperone per every 10 students.
