Join our Chief Curator Dr. Jerry Smith as he talks about the themes and artworks of the newest Special Exhibition Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec: The Birth of Modern Paris. This program will start in the Leo community room. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged. Tickets can be purchased online or in person the day of the program.
Fashionable Figure Drawing Workshop
Date: November 16, 5:30–7 p.m., January 6, 1:30–3 p.m.
Cost: $15 for museum members; $20 for non-members
Take a trip back in time to create expressive, colorful figure and portrait drawings using live models clothed in late-1800s fashion! No drawing experience is necessary, experimentation is encouraged and many drawing mediums and techniques used by Toulouse-Lautrec himself will be explored. For ages 12 and up.
Pronto Plate Printmaking
Date: November 4, 1:30–3 p.m., December 16, 1:30–3 p.m.
Cost: $25 for museum members; $30 for non-members
Learn how to quickly transform a drawing into a bold, repeatable art print that can be easily shared with family and friends! Unlike the traditional lithography process of Toulouse–Lautrec’s time, the pronto plate printmaking process encapsulates all the fun of lithography without the need for a heavy stone! No drawing or printmaking experience necessary, experimentation is strongly encouraged. For ages 12 and up.
Note: The materials used in this workshop will be messy in nature and have the potential to stain clothing. It is recommended to dress for the mess!
DAI Dialogues: “Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec: The Birth of Modern Paris”

Join us for a very special in-gallery program, featuring a specialist from our community to explore new contexts and dialogues for Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec: The Birth of Modern Paris. Geared towards older audiences, this talk will explore complex subjects while challenging and inviting you to see artwork on view in various new ways. Free with the cost of general admission to the DAI. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged. Tickets can be purchased online or in person the day of the program if not sold out.
