SUMMARY:Living with Gods: Popular Prints from India
DESCRIPTION:Living with Gods introduces a form of mass art in twentieth-century India. With changes in printing technology, images of Hindu gods and goddesses, for so long limited to temples or palaces, were made easily affordable in colorful prints that permeated daily life, from stores and offices to homes and schools. Drawing on the recent gift of 165 prints from the collection of scholars John C. and Susan L. Huntington, the exhibition explores diverse figures and stories drawn from Hinduism and the vibrant visual styles used to bring them to life.\nSee more info here. \n
