An American Quilt

Whig Rose Quilt 1840 - 1880 Cotton applique with stuffed work, red, green, yellow calicos on white ground with red binding.
A pattern is a design that is repeated over and over again. For example:
——∞®®∞——∞®®∞——
This quilt has two sets of patterns on it. Can you find them? One is repeated nine times in the center squares and the other is on the outside border. Look around you, patterns are everywhere, in your clothes, on wallpaper and even on furniture.
Hands-On Art Connections: Quilt Design
