In the fall of 1999, The Dayton Art Institute dedicated a space to exhibit works by leading artists living and working in the Miami Valley. While the Art Institute is an encyclopedic fine art museum, with holdings spanning 5,000 years of art history, the staff and Board are also committed to supporting local contemporary artists in their effort to reach a broader community. The variety of both established and emerging artists on view in the gallery enables our audience to experience the richness, diversity, and cultural contributions of our artistic community.
