Jose White String Quartet
One of the more interesting string quartets to recently become available to U.S. sponsors is composed of four outstanding young Latin American musicians residing in Mexico.

Having broad musical training, performance experience and a very special dedication to chamber music, the Jose White String Quartet was the first prize winner of the 2000 Mexican Premio Nacional De Musica de Camara. With three of the ensemble players born in Cuba and the other in California, the members decided to pay tribute to Jose White, indisputably Cuba’s greatest violinist of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
