Ran Dank, Piano

Ran Dank

This exceptional young Israeli began piano studies at age seven at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv, going on to earn his Master's degree at the Juilliard School in New York, where he won the Gina Bachauer Competition. He has studied with Emanual Ax and Joseph Kalichstein, and will perform with the Cleveland Orchestra and several European Orchestras this season.

St. Petersburg String Quartet

St. Petersburg String Quartet

These Vanguard favorites return to our stage with what critics praise as "the great Russian string quartet tradition." Founded in 1985 at what was then the Leningrad Conservatory, the Quartet moved to the United States in 1997 to continue building it worldwide reputation with a Grammy nomination, "Best Record of the Month" in Gramophone and Stereo Review magazines, opening the 2007-08 season of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's Quartet Series, and tours of 15 nations across the globe. The SPSQ will bring Vanguard Concerts' 48th season to a magnificent conclusion!
