The Dayton Art Institute will host its 37th annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 2008. Presented by Miller Brewing Company, enjoy non-stop entertainment, ice cold beer, unique arts and crafts, and a wide variety of international foods.

The Oktoberfest Preview Party, sponsored by Steve R. Rauch, Inc., will take place on Friday, October 3 from 7 to 11 p.m. Preview Party guests will enjoy complimentary draft beer and wine and a relaxing, less crowded atmosphere. Guests will also have the first opportunity to purchase beautiful hand crafted wares by local and national artisans.

Additional support for this year’s event is provided by MeadWestvaco, Coca Cola, Saturn of Dayton, Arrow Wine & Spirits, and Premier Health Partners.

Oktoberfest 2008 is organized by The Dayton Art Institute’s Associate Board under the leadership of Oktoberfest chairs Kim & Doug Lindley and will once again feature Kegs & Eggs, a Saturday morning event offering early admission from 10 a.m. to noon, an egg breakfast, all the domestic beer you wish to drink, and a commemorative T-shirt – all for one low price!

The MeadWestvaco FamilyFest will return to provide fun activities for the entire family. Participate in family art projects, create art with guest artists, purchase novelty items, and enjoy face painting. Hours for young people’s activities are noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Oktoberfest Hours and Admission:
Saturday, October 4 from noon to 11 p.m.
Sunday, October 5 from noon to 7 p.m.

Advance tickets are $3 for adults and seniors, $1 for students (ages 7-18), and FREE for children 6 and under.

Tickets at the gate are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors (60+), $2 for students (ages 7-18), and FREE for children 6 and under.

Preview Party Hours and Admission:
Friday, October 3 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Advance tickets are $40 for museum members and $50 for non-members.
Preview Party tickets purchased at the gate are $75.
