The Dayton Art Institute will host its 38th annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2009. Presented by MillerCoors, and organized by The Dayton Art Institute’s Associate Board under the leadership of Oktoberfest chairs Nancy & Bill Chifala, more than 35,000 visitors will once again enjoy non-stop entertainment, ice cold beer, unique arts and crafts, and a wide variety of international foods.

Oktoberfest 2009 will feature familiar favorites, such as the children’s area - FamilyFest, lively music on two stages, including a traditional German band, delicious international foods and stunning handcrafted art pieces from local and national artisans. This year, we have increased our efforts to provide a fantastic variety of artisans, so look forward to seeing amazing and unique pieces from vendors new to Oktoberfest!

The Oktoberfest Preview Party will take place on Friday, September 25 from 7 to 11 p.m. Preview Party guests will enjoy complimentary draft beer and wine and a more relaxing, less crowded atmosphere. Guests will also have the first opportunity to purchase beautiful hand crafted wares by local and national artisans.
