Join The Dayton Art Institute’s ArtTrek Team as we take a day trip to the Toledo Museum of Art, to see one of the world's most comprehensive and historically significant collections dedicated to the medium of glass. This ArtTrek is held in conjunction with The DAI's summer special exhibition, Dayton Celebrates Glass: Chihuly, Littleton, Labino and Beyond.
Opened in 2006, the Toledo Museum of Art's postmodern Glass Pavilion is home to its world-renowned glass collection, featuring more than 5,000 works of art from ancient to contemporary times.A docent-led tour will guide us through the collection. Objects have been continuously acquired, studied, conserved, published and exhibited, and the collection’s creation and growth are as unique as the Museum itself. There will also be time to explore the museum's permanent collection. Following the visit, enjoy dinner at the Real Seafood Co., one of Toldeo’s top-rated restaurants.
The cost of the Toledo ArtTrek is $190/person member and $240/person, non-member. Cost Includes: Roundtrip transfer via deluxe motorcoach, refreshments, tours and dinner.
