Knitting Circles & Yarn Bombing
Bring your group to the DAI “Knitting Nook” in Gallery 222 and contribute to a costume for Chief Massosoit and the three figurative outdoor sculptures by Seth Velsey. These creations will be unveiled for the Superhero Costume Ball on August 17. The knitting knook will also feature work by the Jafagirls of Yellow Springs.
While you are here, choose a spot on the DAI grounds to beautify through yarn bombing – just grab a set of guidelines, sign the release form and knit or crochet away! The yarn bombing release form must be on file at the museum to participate!
Be sure to also add your own personal superhero to DAI's Hero Pole, created by the Jafagirls and located in front of the museum. Ask for a hero tag at the Visitor Services Desk.
