This community service program for high school students will begin its twelvth year this winter. Student EyeOpeners meet monthly and are trained to plan and manage the museum’s Family Days and Family Member Previews.
Students work together to create gallery hunts, art activities and projects that reinforce that month’s art theme or special exhibition opening. Students earn community service hours for their participation with a maximum of 50 hours per school year. This is a great opportunity for high school students interested in the arts.
Applications may be submitted throughout the school year. Please call the Education Department at 937-223-5277, ext. 334 or email Shannon Crothers at scrothers@daytonartinstitute.org for more information and applications.
