The Dayton Art Institute’s Educator Resource Center offers a variety of programs for art educators, art appreciation volunteers and home educators. Third Thursdays for Teachers meets the third Thursday of each month from September to May. These theme-based workshops give teachers a chance to explore the museum’s art collection and to gather new curriculum ideas. The MasterpieceART program is designed to help art appreciation volunteers and homeschool educators develop their presentation skills, and begins with a conference in October.

The Educator Resource Center (ERC) is a lending library for everyone interested in arts education. Teachers of all curriculum areas, art appreciation volunteers, home school educators, museum docents, and students can borrow materials and resources (books, prints, videos, CD-ROMS, slides, multimedia kits) to help develop curriculum guides, classroom activities and presentations.
